How do I streamline the management of product data?

Solution:

Maintaining a good SKU structure for multiple products is tough, especially when relying on a third-party vendor who has different business objectives.

After Teifi, I learned how to fully automate the SKU validation process with a custom API integration that will create, validate, and edit your product data in an instant, saving clients time and money in the long run.

What makes a good Discovery call?

Solution:

As a Data and Systems Analyst at Teifi, I cooperated on two end-to-end ERP implementations in the automotive and furniture manufacturing industries, participating in Discovery calls on company procedures and diagramming how the processes would change under the new ERP system.

Problem 3:

How can I automate the Accounting Processes at my job?

Solution:

Writing programs to Read Freight Documents, Create Unique Datasets, and make API calls to our Accounting Software.

To build these programs, I taught myself the following:

Framed accounting principles as coding problems to solve.

Using Minimum Edit Distance to account for human error.

. . . and of course -- accrual accounting practices!

Problem 4:

How much does a manufacturing company incur in just boxes?

Solution:

Companies can incur a significant amount of overhead from letting go of the "fine print". For us, it was the shipping costs on our boxes. At times, this cost was so large that it made the boxes unreasonable to use.

So, we went to our box provider to address our concerns. Doing so was a rookie mistake: I handed their competitive advantage (shipping) to them on a silver platter.

Rather than reduce our prices, they effectively raised them as the price of paper rose internationally. This would compound the problems I aimed to solve.

In order to solve this, I had to come up with a way to reduce the cost of shipping on our boxes. I decided the best way was to use local box companies rather than international ones. I asked the warehouses which companies they knew, and composed a small-scale implementation strategy to reduce prices if Rack-a-Tiers needed to in the near-future.

Problem 5:

How can a healthtech company find and reach their target demographic?

Solution:

After collaborating on a global market analysis document for the company, we aimed to find the best way to sell their upcoming healthcare device to the defined target market. I started to learn Blender to create product shots without the budget for a physical set. The completed introduction video is shown below:

Combined with the print ads created by my team, this served to help them gain a refined competitive advantage in the inudstry.

While I am focusing mostly on BTC and ETH, the CryptoBot I use is constantly scanning the market for opportunities. The graph above plots all of these coins, and will be updated as my CryptoBot changes over time.

Thanks to@CyberPunkMetalHead's Binance Volatility Bot, I have been able to start programatically investing! The bot uses momentum-based technical analysis to buy cryptocurrencies below peak value, then sell at specified thresholds.

How did you learn more about this bot?

Thanks to the Linkedin courses available to me, I have been able to learn from the BlockChain course and begin to think through some of these problems in a more approachable way!

What metrics does it use?

After selecting coins based on their Profit Potential (max - current), the bot screens the coins using a moving average convergence/divergence (MACD) that looks at a crypto's price changes over time.

Does the bot require monitoring and control?

While deciding on how to configure your bot, it is important to keep track of what your bot is doing. I will test a bot strategy and send the results to my phone through Discord's API, and make changes as I see fit.

How does the bot decide when to hold/buy?

This is decided by the user, depending on which configuration they pursue. With my current configuration, this bot looks at the coins that are 60% below their 4 day-maximum, and purchase coins two at a time. I am continuing to backtest other options to see which best handles the fast-paced changes that occur 24/7 on the exchange.

Is it successful?

Depends on the market! Using momentum indicators, the bot is susceptable to make some mistakes, but as long as the configuration is reasonable, the bot can continue to make decisions consistent with the market over time.

To gauge this, I index my bot against BTC to see how it is doing. I am still new to using the bot, but want to compare its abilities to other similar cryptocurrency bots, and continue to look for innovation in this unique space! :)

Artificial Intelligence and Art:

There seems to be an opportunity to use AI to reduce the barriers of creativity. General Adversial Networks (GANs) are the structures enabling AI to create fully unique images from a sample dataset.

GANs have two parts to them: the forger, and the detective. The forger will not stop creating images until they create an image so perfect, it outwits the detective. This process enables AI to make completely original & creative art.
